A blue butterfly which, I think, is a silver studded-blue (plebeius argus) rather than a chalkhill, common or adonis blue based on the fact it lacks a black spot on its forewing close to its body which the others apparently have. I saw this yesterday afternoon by the unfortunately named Nicodemus knob on Portland in Dorset where all four types of blue butterflies are found. They have been flying for a couple of weeks now and some are beginning to show signs of bleaching in the sun and rather tatty wings from bird attacks. The local colonies of blues are normally on the wing only from July to late August.
